Sadko is a unique four level venue center with restaurants, situated 320 meters away from the shoreline of the Caspian Sea. The project is connected by a pier to the mainland.
For the construction, AIKON installed 24 meter deep piles, which required cleaning the sea bed, and constructing the building’s foundation with the help of a temporary coffer dam. The construction of the project was challenged by harsh weather, which is similar to conditions in the open sea, as well as specific restricted schedule demands. Despite of the challenges, the piling, foundation, the building structure, and glazing were done in May 2015, on time for the opening of the First European Olympic games in Baku.
